CoDung in Nuremberg

We have been very happy to eat there in the restaurant in recent years. Not only did the sushi always look delicious, they also tasted great. This time on New Year's Eve due to Corona, we ordered sushi and rice noodles with shrimps to pick up. Unfortunately we were very disappointed this time. We paid around € 40 for the two dishes. The sushi was simply reduced by half the usual size. The nigiri in particular were so small that they weren't even the size of a teaspoon. (See pictures) The inside outside rolls were just as small, and the caviar was stuck together. Appetizing sushi looks different. Since when have the Inside Outside roles been just as small as the Hosomaki? I'm really not someone who's petty. But something like that is absolutely impossible ... to charge 40 € for it ... very, very unfortunate. That was our last time with you.

Super friendly service and great food. Very extraordinary sushi and fine starters. The warm main courses are also delicious. At the moment everything to pick up.

It was really cool I went there for an extra 45 minutes and I can say it was worth it!

Absolute recommendation. The sushi is not cheap, but inexpensive - in the truest sense of the word. Sake is not my cup of tea though, so I prefer to stick with ginger tea. What is particularly exciting here is the cooperation with the 2 partner restaurants, so that you can get dishes from all 3 in one shop.

Staff very friendly and attentive. The food was not special and the price / performance ratio was not good. Duck with rice costs 12 € and as I said the food is not worth it for the price.

With every visit from the friendliness and very pleasant atmosphere of the staff thrilled! An extraordinary menu, no matter what you order, you are always pleasantly surprised. One of the only restaurants that can actually convince with every dish. The Corona hygiene concept was also implemented perfectly from the start. Definitely to be recommended. Every single visit is very pleasant.

The hygiene measures were very exemplary, there was disinfectant at the entrance, masks were worn by all the staff, the card reader was disinfected before use and there was also a pack of shrimp chips on top. Food was delicious and the service was very nice too :)

Best sushi ever!!!!! I have been to other sushi restaurants in my time here visiting Germany and nothing compares to this one. The staff is incredibly prompt and friendly. I dont speak any german, only english and that was no problem because their staff speaks both! The food and cocktails were awesome i have absolutley nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Also the washroom was very clean and the whole restaurant was well kept aswell. Thanks guys!!! I will definitely be coming back.

Not bad enough, but far from five. There is not enough piquancy in dishes, richness of taste, maybe some kind of spices. Very beautiful presentation and table setting, beautiful dishes caught my attention. The interior is also noteworthy. The staff are very polite, friendly and professional. We felt like welcome guests.

The waiters are always very easy to work with and very obliging. That makes me and my husband thoroughly happy with every visit. The tables were cleaned in an exemplary manner and the chairs were extremely comfortable. We didn't have to wait a long time for the meal and our drinks. That was fine, because we were really hungry that evening, I can highly recommend this restaurant!

A very stylish restaurant with friendly staff, great service and very fine food. For us one of the best sushi restaurants in and around Nuremberg. Freshly prepared simply delicious. Individual requests are very friendly. There are even 3 tables outside to enjoy the sun. There are also very fine, somewhat unusual drinks that taste very good.

Great sushi restaurant with creative sushi creations! Above all, attention is paid to quality instead of quantity - exemplary. The lunch menu offers a selection of sushi menus and hot dishes. Since I'm not a fan of deep-fried foods, I prefer a la carte selection. I opted for the Spicy Ebi Makis (No. 16 € 4.30) Hamachi Maki (No. 20 € 4.50) & Inside out Hot Spicy Maguro Roll (€ 7.80) and a green tea. I don't have to wait very long, my sushi menu was already trapped and tastes incredibly delicious. I was absolutely thrilled. The Co Dung lives up to its credo of creative sushi and also offers warm dishes such as Japanese and Vietnamese starters. You can also order takeaway here. You should reserve here in advance by phone or email. The young team at Co Dung is very friendly and accommodating. The location is comfortably modern and you can also sit outside. I felt very comfortable here and ate fanatically. Highly recommended for sushi lovers and fans of Asian cuisine. Top price-performance ratio, with great pleasure again!

Load such an incredibly good sushi! My wife and I were always looking for a place like you have! We were in Nuremberg for 9 days and ordered 5 of them at CôDung! We are just thrilled! 5 Stars! Make sure to try the crunchy sushi AND the summer rolls with the peanut sauce !! Thanks for this enjoyment! We are definitely looking forward to Vietnam!

Loved their sushi, it was so good and fresh.

Food was good, but the tip was debited 3 times. When the complaint was made, it was explained that this probably happens often 🤷‍♂️ You should write an email. The overpaid amount was immediately transferred back, but no one could take away the feeling that this was not an isolated case. Statement by the person on the phone: "Yes, that happens sometimes because the waitress doesn't know exactly how to tip a tip on the card device"

Codung I was (unfortunately) very disappointed about our recent visit. The quality of the food is decreasing more and more. I was used to a good service however, my last visit was not very delightful. We were a group of 8 people. We had starters, main dishes and couples of drinks including a bottle of wine. my friends who came up, noticed how the two blond male waiters were gossiping loudly and very badly about our table and that we “only” consume for 300€ . We paid and I have asked for a bill. When we went over it we noticed that the waiter put an additional 20 € on the bill. I have talked to some of my business colleagues a few days after and they have told the same about additional cost. I would recommend everyone who is visiting this place ( with a bigger group) to ask for a bill and to check it. This is a absolute no go! And I will not come back again. Codung you should watch out for your waiters. Also check for the quality of your food. When you have started your restaurant it was great but now it became sth you can not be proud of. Best regards

Lunch menu first sushi as a starter then warm fried salmon with rice and salad Everything was more than delicious! A pleasure! Even if it had only tasted half as good, the extremely friendly waitresses are so worth it! Something like that is a rarity these days! We recommend! Top

Delicious! I've been to Nuremberg twice, and visited both times. Very good food. Last time I had sushi which was also very enjoyable.

Small place and often busy at the weekend but great sushi, well priced and ok service.

The best sushi for very good prices

Very tasty sushi for very good prices. A large variety of different kinds you can choose from. Went there on New year's eve and got a table that was reserved for 1.5h. It was pretty busy and we had to wait around 45 minutes for our order. Other guests were waiting even longer and one table next to us was reminded that they were meant to leave in the next 15 minutes, even though they hadn't even gotten their food yet. In the second floor you're not seated on regular tables and chairs but on benches and tables you'd expect in a "Biergarten". I experienced the staff to be rather friendly, my girlfriend however had contact with one employee who was pretty rude to her. 4 stars for the delicious food (definitely among the best sushi I've ever had) and the prices. 5 stars would require a more cosy atmosphere and a bit more space inside. Anyhow, you can also order food there which I will definitely come back to!

Honestly the best sushi place I’ve been to. The prices are good, the food is amazing and so is the staff. I took all my friends there and they were just as happy as I am. It makes sense to reserve a table at night since the restaurant is always packed but it’s definitely worth it.

Great place and some of the most awesome staff I have ever encountered. The food was very good, fresh vegetables and well seasoned, as well and the homemade iced tea I had which was super delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very welcoming and has a positive flair. Would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food. Thank you again

I loved the vermicelli dish I had. Not overly salty, tastes like homemade food. Loved it! Sushi was good too.
